My name is Kevin and my weight problems started in my early 20’s. By 30 I was 265lbs and I had several health issues including diabetes, high triglycerides and cholesterol, and joint issues. By 50 I had had 3 bouts of pancreatitis and jumped up to 287lbs. It was then that I made the decision to go on a plan and lose weight. It took 8 months and a lot of inner strength I didn’t know that I had, but I lost 84lbs and settled in at 203lbs. What I didn’t do was take advantage of stabilization. I should have listened to Lesia, but I had the mindset “I’ve got this”. Over the next three years, I put on about 9lbs a year, 30 pounds in total. So back on plan, I went and as I approach my goal, I keep reminding myself that I don’t want to have to do this again. I will go through stabilization this time. I learned my lesson!
