I've updated the chili recipe to make it easier and more straight forward. You control how spicy you want it by which peppers you choose. I like a mix of bell and hot peppers. This seems to give a good mix of flavor and spice. Enjoy!
If your slow cooker has a saute function, brown the turkey in it with the olive oil. If not, brown the turkey in a separate pan.
Chop all veggies fine and add to the slow cooker.
Add in the browned turkey, all the spices and the water.
Stir together and set your slow cooker for at least 4 hours stirring every hour or so.
When cooking is done, stir in the cooked brown rice and let it sit for 5 minutes to warm up.
This recipe makes 4 servings
Each serving is 2 cups
Count each serving as: 1 protein - 1 veggie - 1 fat - 1 starch
