Let's face it. Sometimes you just need a burger and fries! I know I do. So let's make it. We will need to be a little creative and it helps if you have an air fryer. I am including a spice mix, however if you are old school, just salt and pepper will work fine. What I love about this is you can change out the veggies, or have bread instead of the fries. You can eat this with a knife and fork as is or you can fold the lettuce around the burger and eat it as a sandwich.
Mix spice mix together.
Put ground beef in a bowl and add a pinch of the spice mix.
Gently mix ground beef and then form into a patty.
Sprinkle some of the spice mix on both sides of the patty.
Put patty on an indoor grill or grill pan and cook to an internal temp of at least 160 degrees.
Preheat your air fryer to 290 degrees for at least 5 minutes
Wash a russet potato under cold water. Peel if you prefer.
Cut potato long ways into 1/4 inch matchsticks. You are looking for a size similar to fast food fries. Thinner is better so they will cook through.
Put fries into a container of cold water to rinse excess starch off.
Drain and dry off fries with a paper towel. Add fries to a bowl with 2 teaspoons of olive oil.
Stir to coat. Add to air fryer bin and cook for 15 minutes.
Check for doneness. Cook a little longer if necessary.
Remove and sprinkle some of the spice mix on the fries if you desire.
Serve as pictured with mustard or hot sauce as allowed by your plan.
For those without an air fryer, preheat over or toaster oven to 450 degrees and cook for 15 to 20 minutes on a sheet pan. Stir at about 12 minutes. Keep an eye on them and cook until cooked through.
