Here is a spice blend that you can mix with honey and olive oil to make a quick and easy BBQ sauce. I paired it with a shredded chicken breast stuffed into half of a pita and made our coleslaw to round out the dish.

Honey BBQ Sauce
 ¼ tsp Ground black pepper
 ½ tsp Morton's Lite Salt
 ½ tsp Chili powder
 ½ tsp Onion powder
 ½ tsp Garlic powder
 1.20 tsp Oregano
 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
 2 tsp Honey
 4 tsp Olive oil
 ¼ cup Water
Main Dish
12 oz Boneless, skinless, chicken breastuse 2 servings for your plan
 ½ Pita
 1 Vinegar coleslaw (link below)https://mindbodyandsoulfitness.us/recipes/coleslaw-creamy-or-with-vinegar/
Making the Dish
1

Add together all the spices, the water, the olive oil and the honey in a small bowl.

2

Take 3/4 of the mixture and add it into a zip top bag then add the chicken to the bag.

3

Remove as much of the air as you can and seal the bag. Gently massage the chicken until it is completely coated with the sauce. Allow it to sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour before cooking. Several hours would be fine.

4

Pre-heat your oven to 400° and tear off a piece of aluminum foil that is big enough to wrap the chicken in. If using heavy duty foil, one sheet should be enough, otherwise I would wrap it in two layers.

5

Place in the oven with a pan under it in case of leaks. Cook for 45 minutes and temp the chicken. We are looking for 165°. When done, remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.

6

Carefully drain the liquid from the foil pouch into a bowl and then place the chicken on a dish. Using two forks shred the chicken and then add it back to the liquid. Also add the remaining BBQ sauce we made earlier. Stir well.

7

Warm up a half of a pita and stuff it with the chicken.

This makes 2 Servings
